SBL style uses roman type, not italics, for series titles (see §6.2.24). Please be aware that the following series are incorrectly italicized in the SBLHS 2 §8.4.1 and/or §8.4.2:

Hi–thanks for launching this blog–much appreciated. I am still limited in actual hard copy to SBL 1, but since I notice from the post above that some issues in 1 persisted in 2–here are a couple of other italics fixes, based on 1, if they were not yet caught:
STDJ–no italics
AGJU–no italics
JSHRZ–no italics
Additions–these are not in James Spinti’s list, so not sure if that means they are listed in SBLHS 2 (I will send them also to him . . .):
KUSATU (Italics)–Kleine Untersuchungen zur Sprache des Alten Testaments und seiner Umwelt
JHS–in SBL 1 Journal of Hellenic Studies; now there is the online Journal of Hebrew Studies (JHS)–don’t know what to do with that one . . .

In SBLHS 2 the journal Comptes rendus de l’Académie des inscriptions et belles-lettres uses lowercase letters at the beginning of the words “inscriptions”, “belles”, and “lettres”, but in this blog post they are all capitalized. Also, in the handbook it is spelled “lettres” but here it is spelled “letters”. Could someone clarify?

Joshua-Thank you for your comment. We have capitalized “Inscriptions Belles-Lettres” because it is the name of a society. You are correct that “Letters” should be spelled “Lettres.” We have the corrected the blog post accordingly.

In the new handbook the series Biblioteca del Proximo Oriente Antiguo (BPOA) is also given in italics; should that be in Roman type as well?
